Wednesday.Wireless || AT&T’s Luke Wilson Ads Are Just Annoying

So AT&T has struck back at Verizon’s coverage attack ads, by having Luke Wilson stand on a huge map and talk about all the areas where AT&T has coverage. It’s important to note that he says “coverage” and not “3G coverage”. I’m pretty sure he’s talking about places where a person can use their phone, [...]

Wednesday.WTF || False Outrage Over Obama’s Bow to Japanese Emperor

Wednesday.WTF || “Raptronica?” Asks Rolling Stone Magazine

The Black Eyed Peas seem to have kicked off an epidemic of techno-inspired rap music, with their 2009 LP The E.N.D. One could argue that they resigned themselves to pop-dom long ago, but Lil Jon, Flo Rida and Three 6 Mafia (among others)? Rolling Stone had a piece about 6 songs that seem to follow [...]

Wednesday.Wireless || AT&T’s “There’s a Map for That” Lawsuit is Ridiculous

If you haven’t heard, AT&T is suing Verizon because of the “There’s a Map for That” commercials that compare the networks’ 3G coverage. Narrator: “If you wanna know why your 3G coverage works so well on Verizon Wireless, there’s a map for that.” Up pops a map labeled Verizon 3G Coverage.

Wednesday.WTF || MC Hammer & Vanilla Ice Performed Together?

When I was a kid I bought a book about MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice, and I remember sealing it (in tin foil) and storing it. Why? Because I thought they were gonna be huge and it would be worth something. Haha! How ridiculous is that? About as ridiculous as these two washed-out artists performing [...]

Wednesday.Wireless || 5 BlackBerry Apps You Don’t Know About

Although there are nowhere near as many apps on BlackBerry as the iPhone, that does not mean that users of the former are left in the cold. There are a lot of cool applications beyond the standard fare (Facebook, BlackBerry IM, Windows Live Messenger, etc). Here’s a look at 5 apps you (probably) don’t know [...]

Wednesday.Website || WayBack Machine: Historical Internet

For anyone who has grown up using the Internet, it is sometimes fun to think of what it once was. Remember when Hotmail wasn’t owned by Microsoft? What about how absolutely horrid everything used to look 10 years ago? On the other hand, some sites haven’t changed all that much. Maybe you used to have [...]
